Gameloft hat aus dem ehemaligen Premium-Spiel Modern Combat 5 einen Free-to-Play-Titel gemacht.
Ab sofort kann jeden den grafisch sehr beeindruckenden First-Person-Shooter kostenlos auf sein iOS-Device laden. Allerdings sorgt ein neues Energiesystem dafür, dass man künftig nach jeder Singleplayer-Mission oder jedem Multiplayer-Match warten oder sich einen Werbespot anschauen muss. Auch zahlreiche Inapp-Käufe wurden nun hinzugefügt.
Laut Gameloft waren schlechte Verkaufszahlen der Grund für diese Umstellung. Käufer der kostenpflichtigen Version sind allerdings NICHT von dieser Neuerung betroffen! Ebenso wird die Android-Version aktuell noch kostenpflichtig angeboten.
